Building the Initial Relationship
Whether you are ready to make a move immediately or you are just beginning
the process, we encourage you to schedule a time to talk with our Partnerships
team. We believe that a good, solid partnership starts here. We want to
hear your story of ownership and in return, introduce you to our PetWell
culture and approach.
Getting to Know Your Hospital
Our Partnerships team will work with you to collect financial and operational
information about your hospital. As relationship building is the cornerstone
of what we do, we will schedule a time to visit you and your facility.
We want to understand what makes your practice so special and how we can
use our resources to continue investing in your hospital. Our team will
analyze all of this information and work with senior leadership to draft
an offer in the form of a Letter of Intent (LOI).
Streamlined Closing Process
Once you sign the LOI, we can typically close in approximately 60 days.
Our goal is to make the transaction as smooth as possible for you. Our
team will guide you through a checklist of all items needed for closing,
including legal contracts, accounting due diligence, and building inspections/appraisals.
Prior to closing we will schedule on-site meetings with your team to introduce
our PetWell leadership and HR benefits.
Immediately after closing, our Transition team will be on-site at the hospital
to begin the HR onboarding and overall integration of the hospital into
our family. The Transition team will be available to relieve the administrative
burden starting on day one, observe your operational flow and able to
answer questions from your team. The Transition process can be summarized as:
- Phase 1: Listen and learn
- Phase 2: Implement planned changes in collaboration with hospital leadership
- Phase 3: The new normal
